Kidney Stones
Hard mineral deposits that form in the kidneys and can cause severe pain, blood in urine, and urinary blockage as they move through the urinary tract.
Common symptoms
- Severe flank or back pain
- Pain radiating to the groin
- Blood in urine
- Nausea or vomiting with pain
- Burning or frequent urination
When to see a urologist
- Pain that does not settle
- Fever with urinary symptoms
- Inability to pass urine
- Recurrent stones
